  • Our survey is designed for several types of innovative uses across a wide variety of schools and districts, especially those with a graduate profile, portrait of a learner, or student-centered instructional vision .

    The survey has been administered at more than 400 schools across 20 stated and is used by rural districts, charter management organizations, individual schools, regional support agencies, principals, district leaders and for school improvement planning.

  • The LEAP Learning Survey is validated for students and educators in grades 4-12. It has been designed with age-appropriate questions that capture student experience across elementary, middle and high school.

  • Most students complete the survey in about 15 minutes. Teachers typically complete their responses in about 10 minutes.

  • Results are available the next day after survey completion. The LEAP team will schedule a meeting to review the results and provide access to the reporting platform that provides immediate insights into your data.

  • Leaders receive comprehensive, multi-level reporting including:

    • Aggregated data that maintains individual anonymity while providing actionable insights

    • Response rates showing participation levels across classrooms and grades

    • Item-level results with detailed breakdowns of responses to each question

  • The survey is completely anonymous for students. Individual student responses are never identified or connected to specific students in any reporting. No PII is collected.

  • The survey is web-based and can be accessed on any device with an internet connection, including computers, tablets, and smartphones. No special software installation is required.

  • Yes, the reporting allows you to see how your results compare to schools serving similar grade levels, as well as to regional and national results when available. These insights provide valuable context for your student engagement and personalized lerning efforts.

  • Many schools choose to use the LEAP Learning Survey twice annually to track progress over time, but it can be used at any time to get insights into what students are experiencing in classrooms.
